Well, it kicked a lot of ass, in my opinion.

If I knew how to do the spoiler hider black bar tag thing I'd go more in depth as too just how many times I went "OOOOH" and why during this film but I dont

I think it's like this. "spoiler" "/spoiler" with [ replacing "

Also there are way too many awesome parts to remember.

"The fall from this height won't kill me." "I'm counting on it."

"Ah, the old good cop bad cop routine?" "Not exactly."

Nurse Joker.

The Rachel/Harvey countdown

"He missed!"

And on and on...

Coming in to this thread twice before this monday. Once to post this question, once to read the answer.

Are there any noteable villains in it besides TwoFace, The Scarecrow, and the Joker?

Only a simple YES or NO for me please, keep any in-depth detail in your answer wrapped in spoiler tags.

AMPEEEM

Nice.

To answer your question Flux, NO

So this whole movie was really crazy. Batman was constantly having to make serious choices, between revealing who he was so that the Joker would stop killing people, or keep on fighting as Batman until Joker was stopped.

Speaking of The Joker, you wont see a better performance for a comic villain anywhere, I don't think. Even with all the hype, he was great to watch.

Fuck man I just spent the last 50 minutes running through that movie again and now I'm just at a loss for words. Even with these spoiler tags, I just don't want to say anything.

Was it the best I've seen? God no, but it was entertaining, very entertaining. For that, I loof it.

Sorry for not busting out anything interesting

I'll put spoiler tags anyway, in case others don't want to know:

Nein.

I like this Joker, much more believable.

Why did he keep changing the story on how he got the scars?

Probably because he never really had a solid backstory. The one they gave him in The Killing Joke is as close as it gets, but a lot of people still don't consider that his true origin. So instead of trying to make up a reason he is how he is, they let him make up his own stories. Maybe, anyway.

Hes crazy and mysterious

its also probably a lot of fun to make up stories

Good theory.

Am I the only one that wants a wallpaper of Joker with the three dogs, that scene looked amazing.

Quickstop

This looks pretty good probably a lot better than Gotham Knight.

I think its funny how after he leaves the hospital he hits the button to blow it up and only half of it blows. He stops and turns around and starts clicking the button more until finally the rest of the explosions go off and he runs onto the bus real quick.

I am glad they killed her off. That part was written for Katie Holmes and if she isn't gonna play it, I don't see why it should be included.

Also aside from stuff like that at the beginning:

When they are robbing the bank and the one guy tells who ends up being The Joker that "I bet he told you to kill me too at the end, right?" And The Joker was like "No I kill the bus driver." And the other guy is like "What bus driver?" Then the bus plows into the building and he shoots them both.
StrawberryClock once wrote, the portal is a fine place and worth fighting for. I agree with the second part.

I saw an Imax midnight premiere.

It was the definition of bad ass, best superhero movie since "Darkman".

Let me do a magic trick! I'll make this pencil disappear!

Like a lot of movies, this is being hyped way too much.  But it really is a great movie.

There is a score-free chase scene in this movie.  Brilliant idea; it really creates a lot of nervous tension removing the music.

I think the bombs on the boats thing was a little too much.  Why no hesitation to blow up the convict's ship?  Sure there are some guards on there, but given the situtation, the innocent civilians obviously come first.

That was kinda the whole point. The civilians should have thought "They are just criminals lets just let them die!" and the criminals should have just been cold hearted killers who would take down the civilians without a second thought. Both sides in theory should have jumped at the opportunity to save themselves by taking out the others, but when it came time to, no one could bear to have all that blood on their hands. The whole "prank" was based around how when it came down to it no one was willing to kill even for the greater good, like how Batman refused to break his one rule and just kill the Joker, IE: "HIT ME!!! HIT ME!!!!"

Topcatyo

Just got back from the movie.  Pretty damn good but I knew about Harvey Dent because I read a Batman graphic novel.  Still didn't expect quite a lot of the stuff, though.
In the graphic novel Batman just chucked Joker right out the fuckin' window, though.  I guess this one fits his motif of being a hero more, though.
Heath Ledger did an amazing job in his role as Joker.

Topcatyo

By the way this is not a real Batman movie because Batman never said "I am Batman."
