I remember hearing someone say that there was Mario 64 and, excluding the actual jetpack in Sunshine, every 3D Mario iteration kept good controls (in that Mario is the platforming gold standard) but you get less and less ways to move in each one. Thinking about it, Sunshine getting rid of the longjump, Galaxy getting rid of a couple of things, and New/3D having basically JUST run'n'jump, that's true but as building blocks to the worlds they were set in

but that does not take away from the fact that it feels super good that this controls as well as 64 and has a shitload more basic moves that feel natural even before you get into the whibbildy whatsits you can do with the hat. Played about thirty minutes but will play probably all night as soon as the big TV becomes available

I've been a big fan of The Dick Show ever since The Biggest Problem in the Universe ended some year and a half ago, which I remember posting about at the time so I won't bog down in the details now.

In any case, the show's host, Dick Masterson, got banned from twitter permanently after telling someone to 'eat a cinderblock'. Not the first timet this sort of thing has happened, I know Lowtax got banned a week or two ago for telling a guy to drown in a room filled with cement or something to that effect. Lowtax just made a new twitter, using his real name as a handle so it's @rich_kyanka I think. Dick, however, opted to switch to Gab.

I've got no problem using a less mainstream social media platform. I quit Facebook a while ago and Twitter has become increasingly frustrating in the way they chop up your feed with 'Since you've been gone' and showing you all the shit the people you follow have liked regardless of whether or not you follow the person whose posts they're interacting with. On the flip side, Dick is pretty much the only person on Gab I give a shit about. From what I've seen it's got kind of a reputation for being the dumping ground of the more hot opinionated internet dwellers who get banned on Twitter, and I'm really not about that scene. I don't expect to find the Harry Partridges or the Tom Fulps of the world on there, but can anybody name some people worth following who use the platform?
